We made a trip to our favorite beach.
I love the off season out there. It's quiet and we usually have the shoreline all to ourselves. Sometimes I dream of living in a little cottage, walking distance to a rocky beach falling into the sea. Just like Miss Rumphius.
(You know, before you get all serious and consider how expensive waterfront real estate is. Or taxes in coastal New England.)
This fall has had some unusually warm days here and there and the kids took full advantage by playing tag with the waves. Water always recharges my spirit. The man's too. Makes sense since he's a pisces and I'm a capricorn, stubborn goat with a fish tail. hmm.
Enough random babbling though, why don't you join us for our walk.........
xo~

I love water and I share your dream of living by the sea. And keep dreaming even when reality encroaches...

That was such a beautiful walk. Horseneck beach is one of my favorite beaches. I can still hear the sound of waves tumbling stones on the shore. One of the these days I will make an impromptu visit after a good storm just to see what treasures have washed up on shore. Although I just realized I have yet to go through my two treasure bags from our adventure.

So good!
Those prices sure do get better when you come north to Nova Scotia ;-)

And I’m sure it feels like coastal Alaska too!

The rocks are so good….. only trumped by our favorite river in NY. I could totally plan my traveling around finding good rocks….

Stephinie, that little slice of coastline looks gorgeous. Tuck and I are a pieces / capricorn combo too - with me being the capricorn - and the beach has the same effect on us.

We just got back from the East Coast, exploring the coastal area of Maine then down to Cape Cod. So many cute cottages along the beaches or water ways. We are from the West Coast (California) and having grown up near Monterey and Carmel, my heart always wishes I could have a quaint little cottage near the beach. I love to hear the waves and walk on the sandy beaches.
Enjoyed your photos....

Beautiful. Were there many shells? I would love to smell the salt water again!

Oh, that looks blissful! The beach recharges me so much. We live only 20 minutes away and yet it's been too long since we've been there. Funny how that happens.

Lovely...my favorite time to visit the beach too. I take it you've made it to Allen's Pond? Such a great spot!
