Isn't that an assassin bug? If it is, it's definitely a foe if you want to raise Eastern Black Swallowtail caterpillars.

It's a milkweed bug...... but I don't see any milkweed around my yard! I can't find anything that says they're plant pests?!!

Milkweed Assassin Bug? We aren't raising caterpillars.... but I think this might eat some bag bugs in my garden?

We call them Elder Beetles up here in this part of the woods.. Definitely A pest.. I've seen whole trees so covered you couldn't see the bark!!

Oh bummer. I'm thinking this little guy is getting more squishable all the time! He was hanging out on the fig leaves in the backyard.... hmmmm....

Its definatley an elder beetle, I did a little research.. Not harmful to plants or humans.. Just a nuissance and can become over populated..

Oh good! Thank you..... all I came up with was milkweed bug. I only see a few of them.... and they don't ever seem to be eating any of my plants.... so I'm glad I didn't squish this little guy..... I've got TONS of gardening stuff planted.... here's hoping a good season of homegrown food is coming my way :)
